You bet. In my garden, they%26#039;re like weeds. They take over the place every year, can%26#039;t seem to get rid of them. (Calla Lilies)

Lilies are bulb so they can flower till there is bulb.Bulb grows naturally at some depth in the soil, and each year the new stem puts out adventitious roots above the bulb as it emerges from the soil. These roots are in addition to the basal roots that develop at the base of the bulb.


The plants are summer flowering. Most species are deciduous, but Lilium candidum bears a basal rosette of leaves for much of the year. Flowers are formed at the top of a single erect stem, with leaves being borne at intervals up the stem.
Reply:not in the same year. but they will come back year after year. you also don%26#039;t have to pull the bulbs out of the ground at the end of the year. after the first frost just trim the stalks down to the ground and next year they will com back bigger and nicer.

Reply:Lily bulbs like day lilies or Asiatic lilies are perennials, which means they bloom every year. They bloom for many years. I have some that are ten years old. They also sprout smaller bulbs that can mature. They do best in sunnier areas but can tolerate partial sun. The bulbs remain in the ground year round. Most bloom just once a year. There are some varieties like Stella Doro that bloom twice a year in the spring and summer. These look more like a lush bush and have smaller blooms.





Squirrels, moles and voles that dig near the bulbs can uproot or harm they bulbs by gnawing on them.





Lilies from a florist are most likely bred to bloom one time only although there%26#039;s no harm in planting them in the ground after the flowers die back. Lilies bought at the florist usually are not hardy. Who knows they may bloom again?

Daylilies comprise the small genus Hemerocallis of flowering plants in the family Hemerocallidaceae. They are not true lilies. This is a day lily. People often confuse the two.

Reply:It depends on the variety you get. Stella lillies do and there are some called :ever blooming lilies that do.
