What are flower garlands (sold at Little India) for?
The flowers are used for various occasions. The flowers can be stringed together to be made to garlands. Garlands are can be used for weddings, funerals or to garland the deity statues in temples or homes. Some garland the potrait photos of the relatives who have since passed away. The flowers can be used for decorative functions during events or occasions and even for religious purposes. Mostly practiced by indians.
