What color flower do you wear for mother's day if she has passed away?

As a custom red carnations are worn to honor living mothers and white carnations for the deceased mothers.
What color flower do you wear for mother%26#039;s day if she has passed away?
Red is for the living and white is for those who have gone on, but recently I have notice the pinkish flower and was told that the pink represented the spirit of that Mother that lingered in the child wearing the flower. (This made sense to me). I am blessed to still have my Mom here with me and I will be purchasing a pink flower for my Mom in remembrance of her Mother. Happy Mother%26#039;s Day to all Mothers and a Mother doesn%26#039;t necessarily have to have gone through %26quot;childbirth%26quot; because raising a child is a %26quot;labor%26quot; of love that lasts a lifetime.
